Statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee that is part of the National Statuary Hall Collection in the United States Capitol in Washington, DC on Thursday, August 31, 2017. The statue of General Lee was given to the Collection by the State of Virginia in 1909. The collection is comprised of 100 statues, two from each state. Of those, twelve depict Confederate leaders.
