Statue of Confederate General Joseph "Fighting Joe" Wheeler that is part of the National Statuary Hall Collection in the United States Capitol in Washington, DC on Thursday, August 31, 2017. The statue of General Wheeler was given to the Collection by the State of Alabama in 1925. The collection is comprised of 100 statues, two from each state. Of those, twelve depict Confederate leaders. The statues have become controversial and there have been calls for their removal from the US Capitol. RON SACHS/CNP/PI
